As part of the Australian Design Biennale we curated an exhibition of Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) Awards from the past twenty years that had received the competition’s highest accolade, a Pinnacle Award.
A 96 page publication was produced to document the exhibition held at Platform Public Contemporary Art Spaces and offered a unique insight into the development of the Australian graphic design industry as it experienced two decades of unprecedented change. The exhibition featured work from 41 studios around Australia. The gallery windows displayed the work chronologically from 1992 – 2012 and offered a unique insight into the recent development of Australian graphic design.
We generated content for the book by scanning images and articles from past AGDA compendiums and edited this together with photography from the first awards program and photography we shot of work being unwrapped for the exhibition.
The book was generously printed by Gunn & Taylor with K.W Doggett’s paper.
