Having worked on the design of a series of pop-up exhibitions for Science Gallery Melbourne it was an pleasure to have the opportunity to work on the identity and promotion for their inaugural exhibition MENTAL in their purpose built gallery that opened in 2021. We created a multi-phase campaign that firstly announced the launch of the new Science Gallery venue and later announced the launch of MENTAL the exhibition. Our art direction of the photographic shoot was informed by the 3d exhibition design which featured textiles and curtains to make more intimate viewing spaces in the gallery. The photographer we worked with to create the campaign imagery was the talented Mia Mala McDonald along with stylist Melinda Cluer and retouching by Justin Malinowski. The imagery received an AGDA merit award for use of photography in design in 2021.
